The Olympus PCF-H190DL is a high-performance, slim-diameter video colonoscope from the EVIS EXERA III series designed to balance superior HD imaging with improved maneuverability for complex anatomical navigation. It features Responsive Insertion Technology (RIT) and integrated 3D ScopeGuide functionality to optimize procedural efficiency.
Key Technical Specifications & Features
- Imaging: HDTV with Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) for enhanced vascular and mucosal contrast.
- Field of View: 170° wide-angle, providing a broader view of the colon.
- Diameter: Slim insertion tube (11.5 mm) and distal end (11.7 mm) to aid navigation through tight turns.
- Working Length: 1680 mm (L-type), suitable for standard to challenging adult anatomy.
- Instrument Channel: 3.2 mm diameter, supporting a wide range of endoscopic instruments.
- Angulation Range: Up/Down 180°, Right/Left 160°.
- ScopeGuide: Enables real-time 3D visualization of the scope's position to help identify loops.
- RIT (Responsive Insertion Technology): Combines High Force Transmission (HFT), Passive Bending (PB), and Variable Stiffness to improve handling.
Connector: Fully waterproof one-touch connector reduces the risk of water ingress.
HDTV and NBI (Narrow Band Imaging):
HDTV image quality and 170° angle of view support detailed observation
and facilitate lesion detection. This in combination with the high performance
of the EVIS EXERA III’s NBI opens up exciting new clinical applications and
reinforces NBI’s position as the standard of care for GI endoscopy.
RIT (Responsive Insertion Technology)
RIT combines three proprietary insertion tube technologies: HFT (High Force Transmission), PB (Passive Bending), and variable stiffness. These technologies are designed to facilitate complete colonoscopies by improving scope handling, insertability, and ergonomics. PB helps EVIS EXERA III 190 Series scopes move through acute bends in the colon. HFT provides improved operator control for pushing, pulling, and twisting maneuvers. Variable stiffness allows the physician to adjust the rigidity of OLYMPUS scopes as needed by simply turning an adjustment ring on the scope-control section.
Water Jet:
The water jet function is standard on EVIS EXERA III colonoscopes for routine procedures. This technology helps to keep the mucosa clear during observation and treatment.
Slim Colonoscope with ScopeGuide Function:
While maintaining a slim outer diameter, the PCF-H190DL/I scope’s added ScopeGuide technology
provides real-time 3D visualization of the scope’s position and configuration during insertion. It supports physicians by making it possible to recognize loops as they form, potentially leading to shorter insertion times and less patient discomfort.
Waterproof One-touch Connector:
The connector design minimizes the effort required for setup prior to and between cases. In addition, it is fully submersible and eliminates the need for a water-resistant cap and the associated risk of an expensive repair due to accidental immersion.
The Olympus PCF-H190DL is a high-performance colonoscope designed for enhanced clinical diagnostics. This used model offers superior imaging capabilities with high-definition output to provide clear, detailed views of the colon, which can aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Featuring Olympus' proprietary Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) technology, this device improves the visibility of blood vessels and mucosal patterns, assisting in early detection of abnormalities. Known for its slim design, the PCF-H190DL allows for easier navigation and reduced patient discomfort during procedures. The scope is equipped with a dual-focus optical system, providing physicians with the flexibility to adjust focus for a magnified view of suspicious lesions. With a generous working channel, it permits the simultaneous use of multiple medical instruments, enhancing procedural efficiency. Its ergonomic design makes it user-friendly for healthcare professionals, while its durable construction ensures reliability over continuous use. This colonoscope is ideal for medical facilities looking to combine advanced imaging with ease of use in their endoscopy suite.
